TMT (Thermo-Mechanically Treated) bars are high-strength reinforcement steel used in construction. They go through a special heat-treatment process that gives them a hard outer surface with a soft, ductile core — making them strong, ductile and corrosion-resistant. TMT bars are made in Bharat (India) from standardised materials, and RDSO (Research Design & Standards Organisation) and MES (Military Engineering Service) approved brands are available.
